Giant Bluenose takes team work April 1, 2018

Local fisherman Barry Cuda landed one of the biggest bluenose fish we have ever seen on Thursday. It definitely required some teamwork to process this beast but our team of fish filterers were up to the task. Cuda was thrilled with his catch and said it was a real battle to get the fish into his boat. Terry Key, who works on Cuda’s boat, said it took the better part of an hour to get the fish onto the deck. “I’m glad I ate my weetbix on Thursday morning – that thing was bloody heavy”. Once brought up to Egmont Seafoods the fish was weighed in at a whopping 309kg.
